Shaykh Yahya Ibrahim
Shaykh Yahya started his knowledge journey with the memorization of Qur’ān in his teens and then pursued his studies in exegesis, jurisprudence, and hadith with scholars from the Hijaz, and in Egypt as well. As a proud Canadian yet happy Aussie, he travels the world regularly from his base in Perth, enriching the lives of thousands with his wise and balanced commentary on matters that are most important to Muslims in our time. His initiatives in Australia include diversity training, cultural sensitivity programs, educational lectures and media presentations. His expertise is sought by schools, universities and a wide range of government & non-government organisations. Although, Shaykh Yahya is known for his spiritually uplifting discussions and addressing topics of Qur’ānic exegesis, Sunnah and tradition and juristic limitations, he is passionate also presenting on social topics including domestic violence, misogyny, gender discrimination, child protection, respectful relationships, disability and mental health. Reflecting his dedication to these goals, Imam Yahya was awarded the West Australian Multicultural Community Service Award for Individual Excellence in 2013. He was also the selected facilitator for the federal government’s Muslim Community Reference Group for the Conference of Australian Imams.

Shaykh Abdul Wahab Saleem
Founder and President of Salik Academy
Upon completing high school in Toronto, Shaykh Abdul Wahab Saleem went on to obtain an Associate's degree in Arabic and Islamic Culture from the renowned King Saud University, the highest-ranking institution in the Middle East. He then completed a Bachelor's in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh with honors from the same university. While pursuing his university education, he studied numerous classical works with a diverse group of distinguished scholars, most regularly under the tutelage of Sh. Anwar Abdullah Al-Faḍfarī. He has obtained licenses (ijazāt) to teach numerous sacred texts in all Islamic sciences including Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Ḥadīth, Tafsīr, and ʿAqīda, as well as the recitation of Imam ʿĀṣim (Ḥafṣ & Shuʿba). He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from the United Kingdom. Thereafter, he attained a Master of Arts in Tafsīr and ʿUlūm al-Qurʾan. He currently resides in Malaysia. The Shaykh has learned from, met, and exchanged thoughts with a wide range of scholars from around the world. He is the founder of Salik Academy, an instructor at Mishkah University, a lecturer at Restu International College and an author of a number of articles and books, some of which remain manuscripts to this date. He has taught and lectured at venues in several countries around the world. In addition to lecturing around the world, he has made appearances and presented complete seasons on various TV stations and YouTube channels including Al-Hijrah TV, Huda TV, Ramadan TV, Sharjah TV, The Daily Reminder and more.
Dr. Yousuf Raza
Psychiatrist and Public Speaker
Dr. Yousuf Raza is pursuing post-graduate studies training in psychiatry, a masters in psychology, and a diplomate in Franklian logotheray. He is an inspirational speaker giving lectures publicly for past 5-6 years in major cities of Pakistan. He is known for his motivational talks, workshops, and specially the Ramadan Events (Dora-e-Quran). As a student of knowledge, he began his journey with the Qur'an from the lectures and writings of Dr. Israr Ahmed. In the past he has been affiliated with Tanzeem-e-Islami, Youth Club, and Shifa Student Society. Currently he is pursuing his studies under the mentor-ship of Dr. Basit Bilal Koshal.
Shaykh Hamzah Maqbul

He was born in Whittier, California. After graduating from Blaine High School, he went on to attend the University of Washington and in 2004 completed a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelors of Arts in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. During his study at the university, he was active on campus, serving as the president of the UW Muslim Students Association. He was also listed by the University of Washington as an expert on Islam and was invited to address various groups from all walks of life from universities to high schools to community groups as well as all forms of media (TV, Radio, Newspaper, Internet). After graduation Shaykh Hamzah went on to pursue traditional Islamic studies, which took him to a number of countries, including Syria and Egypt where he studied the Arabic language, Morocco, Mauritania, and UAE, where he studied the madhab of Imam Malik, grammar, usul al-hadith, and the two renditions of the qira’ah of Imam Nafi’, Warsh and Qalun, and finally Pakistan where he had the opportunity to study tafsir, usul al-hadith, hadith, ‘ilm al-rijal and Hanafi fiqh. All of these studies culminated in him receiving an ijazat al-tadris, literally meaning “a license to teach” which is the equivalent in Pakistani Islamic seminaries to a MA in Arabic and Islamic studies, as well as an unbroken chain of transmission by which to narrate the hadith of such books as the Muwatta of Imam Malik, the Sihah al-Sittah (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah), and the Sharh Ma’ani al-Athar of Imam al-Tahawi. After his return to the United States, Shaykh Hamzah spent five years as the resident scholar of the Thawr Institute, a non-profit religious and educational organization based in Seattle, Washington, teaching, giving khutbahs in local masajid, and travelling through America promoting the knowledge and practice of the sunnah. In parallel with his work at Thawr, he has worked closely with Islamic Relief, CAIR Seattle, and a number of other non-profit organizations that serve the Muslim Community.
Shaykh Mohammad Jamili was born in Sanadaj in the province of Kurdistan in Iran. He began studying Islamic sciences at the age of 16, learning the rules of recitation of Quran, memorization of the Quran, Shafi’i jurisprudence, self-purification, and Arabic Language. His studies continued from then and throughout his university years up until today. The majority of his studies have been based on private tuition in the UK with scholars from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Egypt and other places around the globe. He was also blessed to spend time in Al Ahsa (Saudi Arabia) for short, intensive periods of time to study with senior Shafi’i and Hanafi scholars. He is blessed to hold an license (ijazah) in the seven variants of Quranic recitiaton and to have studied several texts in a variety of Islamic sciences, with some being put to memorisation, with a range of senior scholars of Islam that are living today such as Shaykh Yahya al-Mulla (Al Ahsa), Shaykh Samir an-Nass (Syria, Damascus), Shaykh Salim al-Khatib (Tarim, Yemen), Shaykh ‘Adil ash-Shu’aybi (Al Ahsa), Shaykh ‘Isam al-Khatib (Al Ahsa), Shaykh ‘Abdullah al-‘Adsani (Al Ahsa), may Allah preserve them all. He also holds a Master of Pharmacy degree. He is currently reciting the Quran from memorisation to Shaykh ‘AbdulRazaq Balhawan (Damascus, Syria) in the narration of Hafs and studying texts in Exegesis (Tafsir), Shafi’i jurisprudence, Inheritance Law, Principles of Jurisprudence, Idioms of Fiqh (Qawa’id ul-Fiqh), Hadith, Hadith Nomenclature (Mustalah), and Doctrine. He is also teaching a basic Shafi text Al-Muqaddimah al-Hadramiyyah.
Ustadh Mohammad Abdullah Artan

Mohammed Artan is a Somali born Dutch national who currently lives in England. He is a passionate history enthusiast, publicist, and a videographer. His personal interests are Somali history, religion, culture, and society. In his free time, he spends researching on Somali history and identity. Mohammed is the founder and managing director of Looh Press, a publishing company specializing in Islamic, African and Somali Studies. He has an undergraduate degree in Film & Videography at The University of Northampton, with a teaching degree. He taught filming for several years and now is exclusively focused on publishing and distributing of books. He traveled abroad several years to study religion and continues this in the UK for the past decade and a half. Mohammed currently lives in Leicester with his wife and their three children.
